Make Blackpool’s leading furniture store part of your family
Remember when all your family’s furniture would come from one trusted store?
You would hover by the window waiting for a glimpse of the delivery van. As the uniformed men set to work, next door’s curtains would start twitching.
That was when buying furniture was an event. At Paul Gaunt, it still is.
Furniture isn’t like any other purchase. How it looks - and how it makes you feel – is every bit as important as what it does. Great furniture makes your home a happier place. It’s a part of the family.
We think your furniture store should be part of the family too.
I’m Paul Gaunt. I sold my first sofa when I was 7 (yes, it was a while ago). Since then I’ve got to know the people behind the biggest contemporary brands and I’ve brought the best of what they do to my Blackpool furniture store.
The furniture people choose here is a glorious balance of form and function; the practical and innovative mixed with ‘got to have it’ style and beauty.
It’s sold by people who love what they do and care about matching the perfect piece to its ideal owner.
Everything is still delivered by cheery, uniformed people in liveried vans. It’s still an event. And we still see the odd curtain twitch.

South Pier, BlackpoolDistance: 1.9 miTourist Information New South Promenade Blackpool Blackpool, United Kingdom FY4 1B
South Pier is one of three piers in Blackpool, England. Located on South Promenade on the South Shore, the pier contains a number of amusement and adrenalin rides. It opens each year from March to November and is owned by Six Piers Limited.Construction and openingThe Blackpool South Shore Pier & Pavilion Co. Ltd. was registered in November 1890 and work began to build the pier in 1892. It was constructed, at a total cost of £50,000, using a different method than that used for North and Central piers, the Worthington Screwpile System. It opened, with a choir, two brass bands and an orchestra on Good Friday, 1893. The 3,000 capacity Grand Pavilion opened on 20 May. At 163yd long, it was the shortest of the three piers, and had 36 shops, a bandstand, an ice-cream vendor and a photograph stall, which was different for people in those days. It was built shorter and wider than North and Central piers to accommodate pavilions.HistoryVictoria Pier was considered to be more "upmarket" than North and Central piers, and at first provided little entertainment. Holidaymakers started visiting the South Shore in 1896 when a carousel was installed on the sand dunes. In 1902 the south entrance of the promenade was widened with the construction of the present promenade, and the pier entrance had to be moved back. In 1930 the pier was renamed South Pier. In 1938 the entrance was widened, and the Regal Pavilion constructed. Two fires in six years changed the pier dramatically. First in 1958, a fire damaged the Grand Pavilion, followed by a further fire in 1964 which completely destroyed it. It was replaced with a theatre. In 1963 the Regal Theatre, at the entrance, was converted into the Beachcomber Amusement Arcade.

As you listen to the characters’ stories, you'll feel yourself drawn into another world, where the boundaries between reality and the past blur.
Be warned - as you make your way through the Dungeon, surprises are lurking in the darkness and will keep your senses on high alert as you anticipate what's waiting around the next corner…

Welcome to Lytham Brewery, home of fine brewed ales.
A potted history.
Originally established in 2007, at the Hastings club in Lytham town centre, Lytham Brewery has quickly developed a reputation for fine quality ales. It now operates out of a dedicated production unit on the outskirts of the town. Because of the ever increasing demand and popularity, the brewing capacity has multiplied five-fold. Each month see’s growth both in the trade and home catering sectors with major chain and private outlets finding the quality ales bringing discerning customers coming back for more.
This increased popularity has vindicated the basic creed of the brewery, to only use the finest malts and hops and never to compromise quality.
The list of different ales, each with its own distinct characteristics, has also increased to take account of the many differing palates of consumers.
For further details please go to the ’Our Beers’ page.
A further area of successful development has been our ‘Pull Your own’ service, where we can provide any of our products in quantities, as required, for private functions; ie: parties, weddings etc: We welcome enquiries from private individuals and catering companies.
