Twickenham Stoop Stadium is a sports stadium located in south-west London, England. The stadium is home to Harlequins rugby union team, who play in the Aviva Premiership. The stadium has a capacity of 14,800 and is situated just across the road from Twickenham Stadium.HistoryHarlequins before the StoopIn 1906, Harlequins were invited by the Rugby Football Union to use the new national stadium in Twickenham. In those early days, only one or two internationals were played there during the season, and it wasn't long before the RFU ground became the headquarters of the Harlequin Football Club.Early daysIn 1963, the Quins acquired an athletics ground with 14 acres just across the road from the RFU ground, which became the Harlequin training pitch. The ground was named the Stoop Memorial Ground after Adrian Stoop, a former England international and longtime Harlequins player and president but is generally known as "The Stoop" with even the Harlequins' official website frequently using the informal name. The stadium todayIG StandThe main stand is the IG Stand . This stand has the changing rooms, a row of executive boxes across the top of the stand, a Members' Bar, the club's offices, toilets and a club shop. At the top of the stand under the roof there is also a scoreboard and a gantry where the television cameras populate. The stand was built for the start of the 2005–06 season and has a capacity of approximately 4,000.North StandThe North Stand is a temporary structure with an estimated life of 10 years. It houses approximately 2,000 and is the only stand with supporting pillars. There is a time clock to the top left of the stand. If further expansion is going to happen then the speculation is that the North Stand would be the one to be redeveloped. There is a concern about Langhorn Drive which runs directly behind it and if it needs to be moved before expansion could take place.

Whitton Tennis Club was established in 1938 and has been growing steadily ever since. We are very welcoming to beginners as well as experienced players, and have thriving adult and junior sections. We have two men's and one ladies league teams in the Middlesex Summer League and one men's and one veteran's team in the Middlesex Winter League. Our Club Championships are held every year, culminating in our annual Finals Day in September. There is an extensive coaching programme for groups, individuals and teams, run by our experienced and proactive coach Simon Lazenby. We have three all-weather hard courts in a delightful tranquil setting surrounded by trees. We have recently installed floodlights on one court. The club has been awarded the prestigious "Tennis Clubmark" status by the Lawn Tennis Association. One of the main strengths of Whitton Tennis Club is its friendliness, it is very welcoming, particularly to families. Newland House School is an independent co-educational preparatory school located in Twickenham, Greater London, England. The current Head Master is David Alexander.IntroductionNewland House School has almost 400 pupils from the ages of four to thirteen, the Pre-Prep School for pupils aged four to seven years, and the Main School for those aged seven to thirteen. Pupils in the Main School are sorted into four houses named after gods: Jupiter, Neptune, Saturn and Vulcan. The school teaches a wide range of academic and vocational subjects, from the Classics and music to sports and Design and Technology, and prepares its pupils for entry to independent senior schools.HistoryNewland House School was founded in 1897 at Newland House in Oak Lane, Twickenham, which is named after its former owner, Francis Henry Newland Glossop, J.P. (brother of the then Vicar of Twickenham, the Revd. George Glossop). The Glossops lived at nearby Amyand House and then moved into the newly built house in 1871. When Francis died in 1886, the house was named after him: Newland House. On its opening in 1897, the new school is believed to have been briefly named 'Amyand House School' in memory of Glossop's earlier home, but soon took the name of the building it occupied, to become known as 'The Newland House School'. It moved to a larger site in Strawberry Hill Road, Twickenham, in about 1930 and then to its present site in Waldegrave Park between 1944 and 1945, when for a time it also became known as 'Twickenham Grammar School'. Glossop's son and grandson were each killed in action in the last year of the First and Second World Wars, respectively: his son Major Walter Herbert Newland Glossop of the Canadian Infantry (Quebec Regiment: 225th Battalion), on 1 April 1918, aged 53, and grandson Francis Walter Andrew Glossop of Captain Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders of Canada (RCIC), on 30 March 1945, aged 28.
We are a family run property refurbishment company and have been trading now over ten years based in South West London. We can offer you a comprehensive service providing all of the main building trades, so we like to think that we can be a one stop shop to get works done from start to finish on a given project. Although we are quite happy to be pulled in just to concentrate on one particular element of the refurbishment process – generally painting and decorating. We have worked extensively in the residential market but have had long and successful arrangements with Build Assured, Mowlem, and Skillbase in the insurance management sector as well.
