The Barnes Musical Theatre Club offers afterschool classes for children age 4-12. Classes are split into two age groups age 4-7 and 8-12 and each term drama techniques, voice & singing training, dance movements and lots of drama games are explored through a well known musical. Classes encourage confidence, co-ordination and friendships and are a great way for the children to express themselves creatively and release all that energy! Classes are taken by Stevie Tate Bauer a West End professional who has performed the principal role in Wicked, Lord of the Rings and has also appeared in Grease, Footloose and Oliver. Stevie has years of experience of working with children, not only through teaching dance, drama and music but also as a teaching assistant in local primary schools. She also has helped many children fulfil their dream of going to Drama School. Classes are independent, unique and tailored to each age group. A free taster class is available at any point during the term! The Barnes Musical Theatre Club has been set up by a local Barnes resident and offers the children the opportunity to perform in local events and activities. Classes are held on Monday afternoons at St Osmunds Church Hall, Castelnau for the Junior Club and Kitson Hall, Kitson Road, for the Senior Club. The Queen's Club is a private sporting club in West Kensington, London, England. The club hosts the prestigious annual Queen's Club Championships grass court men's lawn tennis tournament (currently known as the AEGON Championships for sponsorship reasons). It has 28 outdoor courts and eight indoor. With two courts, it is also the national headquarters of real tennis, hosting the British Open every year. The Queen's Club also has rackets, and squash courts; it has now become the headquarters for both these sports due to the Prince's Club closure in 1940.HistoryFounded as The Queen's Club Limited on 19 August 1886 by Evan Charteris, George Francis and Algernon Grosvener, the Queen's Club was the world's second multipurpose sports complex, after the Prince's Club, and became the only one after the Prince's Club relocated to Knightsbridge and lost its outdoor sports facilities. The club is named after Queen Victoria, its first patron. On 19 May 1887 the first lawn tennis courts were opened and on 1–2 July 1887 the first sporting event was held when Oxford played Cambridge. The construction of the club buildings took about eighteen months and they were opened in January 1888. William Marshall, finalist of the inaugural 1877 Wimbledon Championships was the architect. Among the initial sports offered at the club were real tennis, Eton Fives, rackets, lawn tennis (grass courts and covered courts), football, rugby and athletics. Cricket was also played but not as an organized sport. The University Sports meeting between Cambridge and Oxford was held at the Queen's Club from 1888 to 1928.

Golden Lion, Fulham
Distance: 1.6 mi Tourist Information
57 Fulham High Street
London, United Kingdom SW6 3

The Golden Lion is a pub in Fulham, in the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham, London, England. It is located on Fulham High Street, to the east of Fulham Palace Gardens. Its building was originally built in the Tudor era, and was rebuilt by one of its Victorian owners. Notable patrons include the playwrights Shakespeare (in the 16th century) and Fletcher as well as Bishop Bonner. The pub serves typical pub grub.HistoryFaulkner, in his History of Fulham, supposes the original mansion to have been of the time of Henry VII; and that it was the residence of Bishop Bonner. James Dugham states that it was undoubtedly a "princely residence". After its conversion into an inn, it was frequented by William Shakespeare and John Fletcher. The original Golden Lion was pulled down in April 1836. The house which was subsequently rebuilt in April 1836 carried inscriptions on its two chimneys; a picture of the towers appeared in the Gentlemen's Magazine in June 1838. Subsequent to its demolition, John Powell Powell sold it to Street. It was also the repository of the "arms and accouterments" of the old Fulham Volunteers. The Bachelors Club also held its meetings at the Golden Lion. After Powell, the inn was owned by Mrs Ann Sophia Blake and then by Colonel Edward Harwood. A private road from the Golden Lion led to the Burlington Road. Before its demolition, in 1820 it was cited as the oldest house in Fulham. In the 1970s the pub was a popular haunt of the British rock band Led Zeppelin, being close to their Manticore studios. With its origin traced to 1455 it is reported as the oldest pub in Fulham. There is also a pub garden behind the Golden Lion.
