Echo Arena Liverpool is one of the the most prestigious venues in the UK, opened in 2008 with the launch event for Liverpool’s year as European Capital of Culture. Part of ACC Liverpool and purpose built as one of the next generation of event venues, Echo Arena has a track record of delivering high profile, world class events and creating unforgettable memories.
Echo Arena Liverpool is part of ACC Liverpool, along with sister venues, BT Convention Centre and Exhibition Centre Liverpool, opening in 2015. A major employer and a proud supporter of the city it represents we play a key role in the economy and help to form a positive image of the wider region.
We operate as a not-for-profit organisation, working with hundreds of private-sector businesses, both large & small, that make up an industry in this part of the UK with over 1700 businesses employing 28,000 staff. These statistics - and the some of the massive infrastructure developments now taking place across Merseyside - including projects such Peel's Liverpool2 deep water container terminal - ensure that Maritime is recognised as a key economic driver for the region. We work across four main areas: Business Growth, Communications, Infrastructure, Education & Skills. Our strength and value lie in having a broad & independent overview of the Maritime Sector on Merseyside; what's happening, who the key players are, what the common issues might be, what the trends are and how these various strands fit together. In order to deliver real value to local businesses we build strong relationships with a wide range of policy makers, MPs, local authorities & other strategic partner.
The Mathew Street Festival no longer operates and is now the Liverpool International Music Festival - updates on which will be posted on this page.
The Festival is run by Culture Liverpool, a page which can also be found on Facebook, and who will post and update this page with relevant music taking place in the city and cultural events relating to the Mathew Street area.

No longer is Oktoberfest something you have to head for Germany to experience. This year, Liverpool has gone especially Oktoberfest-mad. The biggest event, with a 1.200 people tent, starts off with a hop-soaked 5 days on exchange flags (14-18.10) with so much beer, food and music that, ja mein lieber, it's just like being in Munich.
Sunday is a family day, complete with bratwurst-centred lunch options. The tunes are courtesy of Real Bavarian Bands flown in from southern Germany and promising to have you dancing on the tables to hits like 'Zikke Zakke' and 'Ein Prosit der Gemütlichkeit' (don't worry, we'll help you).
Get a table and reserve our best seats. We offer a package with food, beer and seat reservation for only £26-£44.
Come and enjoy the amazing atmosphere at the Liverpool Oktoberfest 2015! Don’t forget to check our Lederhosen Shop and come dressed like a real Bavarian!
Entrance is free on Wednesday. On Thursday, Friday and Sunday there will be a £5 entrance fee and on the busy two Saturday shifts there will be £10 entrance fee.
