We at MIHSG are of the opinion that an excellent education, delivered in a safe caring Islamic environment, gives each pupil room to grow and develop as an individual. We at MIHSG promise to deliver at least these basic qualities.
It is documented that most faith based schools provide a way of life that remains with pupils for life. It also instils a sense of responsibility and moral values which they carry through with them into the wider society. So some of the current ills in society that we witness, such as drugs, poor parenting, underage drinking and religious fundamentalism, to mention but a few, are threatening the long established values of our communities. Our simple aim is to educate young women so that they can take the higher moral ground, having understood the issues earlier in life and avoid making the wrong choices.
Our results show that we have been achieving an outstanding pass rate for grades A*- C since our first GCSE results in 1995. I can assure you this doesn't just happen; the whole programme to educate, nurture and support the pupils comes from a dedicated and highly qualified staff that foster discipline and respect who enable MIHSG pupils to achieve consistently high academic results. Combine all of these qualities with dedication, imagination and drive, then you can see why our pupils achieve such outstanding results.
Most faith based schools have shown over decades that exclusivity leads to isolation. However, when we open our doors to all and share our vision of the future, we all can become that much richer and closer as a community.
We extend our sincere invitation to all interested parents and carers to come and take a tour on our Open Days and Evenings.

The Manchester Aquatics Centre is a public aquatics sports facility south of the centre of Manchester, England, north of the main buildings of the University of Manchester, and near the Manchester Metropolitan University. It was purpose–built for the 2002 Commonwealth Games, and cost £32 million to build. Before it was built, for many years its site was open waste ground left by demolishing inner-city industrial terrace houses. The building was designed by Faulkner Brown. The building takes the approximate shape of an asymmetric trapezoidal prism, and from the outside the roof resembles a wave. Construction started in August 1996, and was completed in July 2000, with finishing touches made in September 2001. MAC hosts many swimming and water polo events but also hosts Lancashire County Championships and Age group North west Regionals for swimming. It was opened on 12 October 2000 by Queen Elizabeth II.

We are a growing, urban, community church where we are encouraged to be like Jesus and love God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength, and love others as we love ourselves.
In our lives and in our church activities we try to display the love God and Jesus showed and the hope of salvation to those around, using all of our God-given talents and gifts.
God continues to live in us and work through us to His glory and our spiritual growth and unity. We believe God is using us to reach out to everyone in the local community through the activities we run as a church.
As a community of Jesus followers we are focussed not only on "What God has done in the past" and "What God is going to do in the future" but also, and crucially,"What God is doing NOW"!
We would love to see you at any of the events we run, but we are also interested in how we can best serve you.

The aim of our society is to explore the state of the relationship between faith and politics in Britain today and question how this can be improved.
So far we have had has several big political names come to speak about the interaction of Faith and Politics. These include: Andy Burnham MP, Jim Murphy MP, Ivan Lewis MP, Jeremy Lefroy MP, Paul Goggins MP and many more.
We have also had non-MP speakers, such as Christopher Lamb (the assistant editor of The Tablet) and John Battle (a former MP and recipient of the Order of St Gregory).
Recently we have also had an event focusing on the legacy of Pope Benedict's teaching in 'Caritas in Veritate' and its implications for Catholic Social Teaching
We have invited even more speakers for the rest of the academic year and even into next year and will also be holding our own events to discuss some of the many ideas that have come up in our discussions!

Our community has been established for nearly 50 years, with an enviable reputation for friendliness and a welcoming atmosphere. At the centre of our success has been our strong inclusive approach to the wide spectrum of modern Orthodox belief and a democratic approach to all aspects of how we manage our shul.
main shulWe are very proud of our broad range of activities - we're not just a place to pray but a dynamic community where lifelong friendships are made and treasured.
As well as daily prayer service in the modern Orthodox tradition, we have pioneered prayer services for women and created innovative learning activities for the younger members of our community.

Manchester Cathedral has been centre stage in its city’s history for nearly 600 years. In 1421 Henry V signed a royal charter granting permission for a collegiate church to be built.
In 1847 a new Manchester diocese was created and this historic church became a Cathedral.
This Grade I listed masterpiece has not only provided a stage on which the city of Manchester’s compelling history has been played out but also provided some of the leading actors for this narrative. Century after century the stone walls have survived wars and bombings, Henry VIII’s reformation and Queen Elizabeth I’s spy, witnessed the birth of the world’s anti-slavery movement and lived the Industrial Revolution first hand.
There are medieval quires and ancient archives, bees on the roof and kangaroos carved on thrones, choristers running to practice and artists drawing in aisles. Classical music concerts served with coffee and wines fairs set to jazz.
This is an invitation to join us. The doors are open 7 days a week and the admission is free.
Do not miss one of the most interesting churches in the land at the heart of one of the most exciting cities on Earth.
This is Manchester’s Cathedral. Not to be missed
