Every Saturday, Brook Green Market & Kitchen hosts the best farmers, growers and street food traders London has to offer.
Held in the grounds of Addison Primary School, W14, the market features traders selling a range of organic, sustainable produce, sourced as locally as possible.
The market also features a selection of hot food brought to you by some on London's finest street food vendors.
If you are a farmer, grower, chef or industry specialist and feel like you would like to get involved and have something to offer, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
Launching this April, Maida Hill Market will deliver a dynamic and unique approach to the capital’s burgeoning market scene, by curating a collection of the UK’s finest food, drink, and contemporary and classic design and bringing it to a cosmopolitan corner of West London.
Taking a more contemporary approach to that of nearby Portobello Market (though close enough so that both can be visited in a day), the market will see a weekly line up of food producers, drinks brands, street-food vendors, up-and-coming designers, artists and decorative antiques amongst other lifestyle products.
Based on Europe’s urban markets, Maida Hill will cover all areas of lifestyle, and be wholly committed to championing young talent, as well as focusing on quality and affordability.
Up to 40 unique vendors will come together every Saturday at the site near Westbourne Park tube.
St Paul's Girls' School is an independent day school for girls, located in Brook Green, Hammersmith, in West London, England.HistorySt Paul’s Girls’ School was founded by the Worshipful Company of Mercers in 1904, using part of the endowment of the foundation set up by John Colet, to create a girls’ school to complement the boys' school he had founded in the sixteenth century. The governors hold proprietorial responsibility, and some are representatives of the Universities of Oxford, Cambridge and London. The buildings for the school were designed by the architect Gerald Horsley, the son of the painter John Callcott Horsley and one of the founder members of the Art Workers Guild. The school has had several distinguished directors of music, most notably Gustav Holst (1905–34) and Herbert Howells (1936–62). Holst composed his St Paul's and Brook Green suites for the pupils at the school. Holst also composed what is arguably his most well known work, "The Planets", while teaching at St Paul's.
Come down to the club and enjoy our fantastic range of facilities, including a spacious gym, four group exercise studios, a beautiful indoor swimming pool and spa facilities, expert personal trainers, and a brilliant DL Kids team who run sessions to help the little ones stay active too.
The Hammersmith Palais de Danse, later renamed as the Hammersmith Palais, was a dance hall and entertainment venue in Hammersmith, London, England that operated from 1919 until 2007. It was the first palais de danse to be built in Britain. In 2009, it was named by the Brecon Jazz Festival as one of twelve venues which had made the most important contributions to jazz music in the United Kingdom. The Palais occupied a large site on the A219 at 242 Shepherd's Bush Road, London W6, near the circular system under the A4 Hammersmith flyover. The area, one of London's key communication nodes, has two London Underground stations, a bus station, and the road network at Hammersmith Broadway.HistoryOn the site of a former tram depot, the Hammersmith Palais de Danse was opened on 28 October 1919, by North American entrepreneurs Howard Booker and Frank Mitchell, in order to host ballroom dancing and various kinds of dance bands, among which were the new jazz bands. Many of the famous jazz stars of the day appeared in concert there, including American jazz singer Adelaide Hall, who performed at the venue during the week from 27 March to 2 April 1939, accompanied by the Florida Club Orchestra. In October 1933, a new maple dance floor was installed in the venue; it was advertised as being "England's finest £5,000 maple floor".
