"Let’s stop acting like women who choose to be feminine are somehow colluders, betraying the movement, bamboozled into thinking that they want to be feminine. Let’s stop denying women their own autonomy by telling them that their expressions of femininity are bad and wrong.
Antifemininity is misogynist. What you are saying when you engage in this type of rhetoric is that you think things traditionally associated with women are wrong. Which is misogynist. By telling feminine women that they don’t belong in the feminist movement, you are reinforcing the idea that to be feminine and a woman is wrong, that women who want to be taken seriously need to be more masculine, because most people view gender presentation in binary ways. This rewards the ‘one of the boys’ type rhetoric I encounter all over the place from self-avowed feminists who seem to think that bashing on women is a good way to prove how serious they are when it comes to caring about women and bringing men into the feminist movement.”

Volk's Electric Railway is a narrow gauge heritage railway that runs along a length of the seafront of the English seaside resort of Brighton. It was built by Magnus Volk, the first section being completed in August 1883, and is the oldest operating electric railway in the world. Although it was preceded by Werner von Siemens's 1879 demonstration line in Berlin and by the Gross-Lichterfelde Tramway of 1881, neither line is still operational.Operated as a historical seafront tourist attraction, the railway does not usually run during the winter months, and its service is also liable to occasional suspension due to severe weather or maintenance issues.HistoryIn 1883 Magnus Volk opened a short, electric railway running for 1/4mi between Swimming Arch and Chain Pier. Electrical power at 50 V DC was supplied to the small car using the two running rails. In 1884 the line was extended a further 1/2mile beyond the Chain Pier to Paston Place, and regauged to. The electrical supply was increased to 160 V DC and the power plant was installed in the arch built into the cliff face at Paston Place. In 1886 an off-set third rail was added to minimise current leakage.

Rain or shine, shade or shelter, outdoor events in the UK require marquees. If that's what you're looking for, "you know, that blue and yellow stripey tent" you've come to the right page. Whatever kind of event you're planning from wedding to wild party, craft fair to Crufts, we’ll work with you to make the event run as smoothly as possible. We are able to be flexible in meeting specific needs; whether it’s just a marquee that s required or the full works, we can tailor a reasonable quotation to meet your requirements.
We have several marquees that are available to hire. With those marquees we can also offer different packages which include other equipment such as built in bar, staging, lighting, PA Sound system for DJ’s or live music and even equipment for holding a headphone (silent disco) ‘noise pollution free’ event.

Streetfunk is a Brighton & Hove based Hip Hop dance company / school, providing classes for all ages, ranging from 4 yrs old to adults, across Sussex. It was founded by JP Omari who is widely known in the UK Hip Hop dance scene, as well as for his dedicated work in the community dance sector over the years.
Although Hip Hop dance is at the forefront of Streetfunk’s activities, what is most important to JP are the qualities that make one not only a good dancer but also a decent, respectable and confident person through hard work, discipline and respect. In class, children learn the importance of these qualities alongside the foundations of Hip Hop styles.
Streetfunk is more than a dance school… It’s a family! Come and join us and see what a difference we can bring to your child’s life!
