The 491 Gallery is a social centre and multi-disciplinary gallery in in Leytonstone, London, England. Taking its name from its street number, 491 Grove Green Road, the former factory is now home to a community-led art organisation and serves as a constant exhibition space for a diverse range of artists of different origins working in varied media. It contains a range of art and music studios, which are used to host workshops, classes and musical rehearsals.
Following the closure of its original business, the building was used as a storage space and warehouse for materials being used to construct the A12 road that cuts through Leytonstone and the surrounding areas. Unlike the rest of the surrounding buildings, it and the few neighbouring houses were not subject to compulsory purchase orders and demolition for the A12 site. When in late 2000 the building was abandoned, it became occupied by a group of homeless drug users, who remained in it for some six months. Within a month of their vacating the premises, the building was reoccupied by a group of artists, who spent the next several years turning it into a vibrant community space. Along with its neighbouring building, Vertigo — named after the eponymous film by Alfred Hitchcock, a former Leytonstone resident — the 491 Gallery is currently one of the longest running organisations of its kind.

A unique experience concept which first ventured onto the festival circuit in 2010, The Leisure Centre fuses cutting-edge music with aerobics and dance, mindblowing synthetic clothing, next level production and a heavy emphasis on FUN.
As one of the standout attractions at the annual Boomtown Fair, visitors pass through a detailed facade of a redundant 1980's sports centre to be greeted by a spandex-saturated rave mecca where huge speakers, disco balls and lasers reside and leisurewear, dope dance moves and big beats collide.
With a soundtrack spanning hip hop, jungle, techno, drum and bass, garage, and disco, the venue rams out day and night to a crowd of the the most up-for-it leisure enthusiasts this side of the Swindon Oasis.
So dig out your shellsuit and put the pleasure back in your leisure - what's stopping you? Join today and witness the fitness...

The Munch Bunch club was put together in response to the needs of parent’s requests for quality and affordable childcare after school and during the school holidays. Due to many financial cuts and youth services being demolished young people are finding that they have very little outside of school to keep them active, for some parents finding time to accommodate this is a struggle. Here at The Munch Bunch we would like to offer a place for innovation, growth, achievement and excitement.
*Enrichment beyond the classroom*
The club is ran by choreographer/mixed media professional Joshua Chester and Community Arts Practitioner Lisa Laville
Hosted by Maryland Studioz
