My name is Anjali, the creative mind behind all the toppers that you see on the website and the only proprietary owner of Global Cake Toppers. I just thought that before you put your faith and money on us, it is appropriate to tell you something about me. Having born to an artist mother I was naturally inclined to every form of art and craft. However since childhood I have always been fascinated to clay art; be it Pottery, Cold Ceramics or sculpting miniatures. In addition my avid interest in painting earned me many awards and accolades during my school life. I topped in Fashion Designing, stood 1st in entire college and had a teaching job for couple of years.More over used to write for a magazine named "Chitralekha" for couple of years and also look after my Mum's Art classes along with her.Have also won many awards in the cake decorating industry nationally and internationally. After moving to London, I developed further interest in Sugarcraft and sculpting and started creating miniature figures for my friends and family. Later I moved to Dublin and started my own Venture with the name Global Cake Toppers and now its been years that we are running a successful business in the industry being one of the best around and to make them near to perfect and give them life, I used all my knowledge from Fashion Designing, Painting and Clay Sculpting to make cake toppers with such minute details that you may fail to see anywhere else. The toppers are astonishingly proportionate, artistic, lovely, very you and b..e..a..utiful. I also love baking and making cakes, but thats only my passion and we are unable to sell those. I am a Dublin based artist, graduating from Fine Art in 2010. This is my latest venture into illustration born from a love of all pawed and non-pawed creatures. came about with thanks to my loyal companion Milo. Milo was my 14 year old family shih tzu and he died in 2014. I was heartbroken. It took about a year to bring myself around to it, but I decided that I wanted a portrait of him for myself and anyone in my family who would like it. Having recently completed a course in Adobe Illustrator I tried my hand at drawing Milo using my new found skills. My family were delighted with the drawing and it was special for me to remember my little pal. Then one or two other family members requested some drawings and suggested that there may be a place on the market for an idea like this. So I set up an etsy page, got going on social media and have been expanding on my business knowledge since August 2015. My background is in Fine Art and I make abstract paintings and sculptures, so this business is a great way for me to marry my love of being creative and my sincere love for animals. It is hugely rewarding when I give a pet owner a portrait of their animal, it means a lot to them and that happiness in turn means a lot to me. I have drawn a few portraits of pets who have died and I understand how important it is to have a way to remember our pet family members, I'm delighted that I can do that for people. I recently left my job to pursue pawpawpawpawprints and my own artistic work on a full time basis so I am looking forward to the adventure ahead. If you like what you see please spread the word on social media, it's hugely appreciated. Thanks, Jane Fogarty.
